A national Grocery Chain received an unsolicited offer for one of their owned properties. The financial upside of the offer was significant but the allotted time frame for turning the property over was aggressive. It necessitated closing the store quickly and completely clearing the space. The Company selected SB360 to work through every aspect of the process.
The SB360 team hit the ground running. A liquidation sale commenced with a 35-day plan to maximize the gross recovery on the inventory. As part of the plan, SB360’s proprietary replenishment model kept an inflow of fresh meats, dairy, and bread to maintain foot traffic and drive volume during the sale.
Saleable FF&E was cataloged and sold via an online auction. SB360 then cleared the space to the bare walls.
Total time elapsed – 58 days, from notification to vacate.
The Fixed Asset Recovery Group of SB360 is well-known for selling FF&E of all types from any facility. But our capabilities go beyond typical asset sales.
When a regional grocer needed a cost-effective solution to refixture and update the aging FF&E in select stores, they turned to SB360.
Using the company’s owned assets which were warehoused in various facilities, SB360 developed a replacement list of newer fixtures and equipment pulled from closed stores and resets. A plan to redeploy the idle equipment was implemented, repurposing assets the company already owned to refixture select stores and stretch the equipment purchase budget.
When a landlord wanted to repurpose a site, replacing a closed grocery store with a storage facility, they turned to SB360 to devise a cost-effective plan to clear the site.
We cataloged all of the available equipment and conducted an online auction to encourage widespread participation.
Beyond the FF&E sold through the online auction, we harvested all of the recyclable material of value from within the space. The proceeds from the recyclable materials netted the client positive cash flow, offsetting the expense of clearing the site.
