SACP Head of Deal Execution

Michael P. Russell is Head of Deal Execution for Second Avenue Capital Partners (SACP). His responsibilities include the origination, underwriting, and account/relationship management.

With more than a decade in the direct lending industry, Mike was previously a Managing Director for SLR Credit Solutions (f/k/a Crystal Financial).  At SLR, he was responsible for evaluating and structuring new transactions, as well as managing a portfolio of secured debt investments. Before SLR, Mike worked at Hercules Capital where he focused on investments in venture-backed life science and technology companies.

Mike holds a BS degree from the University of Connecticut.  He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Secured Finance Network.
